8 Best Spring Break Destinations for Adults

Now that you are grown up and out of college you may be looking for an upgrade to your stereotypical Cancun Spring Break vacation. Just because you have outgrown the jello shots doesn’t mean you are too old to take a Spring Break vacation. If you are looking for an adult getaway to tide you over until the summer, here are some of our best Spring Break destinations for adults.

Key West, Florida

Stepping foot off the airplane, you don’t even feel like you are in the United States anymore. Key West is filled with its own unique culture and traditions, so much so that residents barely consider themselves part of the United States. Take a visit to the Ernest Hemingway Home and Museum, have a drink on Duval Street, watch street performers at Mallory Square, or take a plane and visit Dry Tortugas National Park.

St. Augustine, Florida

A visit to the oldest continuously occupied city in the continental US boasts tons of history, plenty of places to eat and drink and sunny beaches. Stay at the The Collector Inn, an adults only hotel, spans nine historic buildings that date back to the late 18th century. It has a bed and breakfast feel but with modern and luxurious amenities. It is located in the heart of historic St. Augustine with great access to The Castillo de San Marcos, Lightner Museum, Potter’s Wax Museum, Fountain of Youth Discovery Park, and so much more!

Sedona, Arizona

Countless outdoor adventures await you during a Sedona spring break vacation. You can choose to kayak or river raft in Oak Creek or visit the infamous Slide Rock. Take a day-trip to the Grand Canyon and take a ride on the Pink Jeep Adventure Tour, our favorite is the Honanki ruins sunset tour. If hiking is your thing, the Red Rock network of trails is massive, well marked and well maintained.

Charleston, South Carolina

When you arrive in Charleston, take a one-hour carriage ride so you can get the lay of the land and decide on places you want to visit later. After your carriage ride, take a walk along the cobblestone streets and visit the colorful historic buildings that date back to the 1800s. If you’re into history, visit the Fort Sumter National Monument which commemorates the site where the first shots of the Civil War were fired.
